The Gospel message

1885 - Still Life with Bible, Vincent van Gogh,

John 3:36  He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not [j]obey (by believing) the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

The Gospel

                                                                                                       A Little Better Sight

God has crafted all of history into a story that you are a part of.  God created the universe, and everything in it.  God revealed His standards in the Bible through aprox. 40 different special authors over  aprox. 1500 years.  Each author authenticated  his message by adhering to the message of previous authors.  The truth of this message includes some bad news.  The bad news is that you fall short of God's holy standard.  And the bad news gets worse...God's holy standard is not optional, all who fall short will face God's wrath (in Hell).  Hang in there the Bible also has good news (the best news of all time).  The good news is that God sent his only Son to die on a cross and pay the penalty for all of the sins of mankind.  The good news gets even better.  By simply trusting in God's son Jesus and his sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, all of your sins are forgiven,  past,  present, and future. This is the only way to be right with the creator God.

John 3:36 puts it this way    36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not [j]obey (by believing) the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

The Bible tells us the only shield from the wrath of God is offered through the blood of Jesus.  It is only belief in Jesus that makes any of us acceptable to a holy God not our good works.  If YOU have not accepted the free gift of Jesus' forgiveness of your sins, what are you waiting for?  Just pray to God in your heart something that acknowledges this.  Its as simple as that.  There are no gimmicks or formulas God knows the thoughts and the heart of all men.  If you do this, Welcome to the family of God!!  When God looks at you he sees the righteousness of Jesus imputed to you.   God promises us we are now different, even if we don't feel that way.  The Bible tells us not to rely on our feelings but to trust God's promises.
