Proverbs - Wisdom - BIBLE SUMMARY WITH ART

1 - Father

 A father gives advice to his naive son, wisdom (God's voice) is personified as a woman calling on the street warning of consequences of not heeding her.

 The father equates the wisdom offered to the fear and kowledge of God, the woman wisdom (spiritual truth) is the only counter to the adulterous woman (sinful physical desires).

   Trust in the Lord  (God's wisdom), lean not on your own understanding (human wisdom) , don't be wise in your own eyes,  revelation will watch over and take care of you.

Listen carefully, honor wisdom while you are young and she will honor you in the path of life,  avoid the path of the wicked, be honest and straightforward.

 The adulterous woman seems pleasant but ends up very bitter, avoid her at all cost, her path leads to destruction, God sees the ways of everyone.

 Be honest, and hard working for your neighbor's sake,  like the ant, pondering  these teachings (revelation) all day every day, (God's wisdom) keeps you from being decieved by the adulterous woman.

 Keep these teachings treasured, the adulterous woman is very seducing, cling to God's word to avoid her otherwise you will be an ox going to the slaughter.

 Wisdom has set the table and invites all to abandon their foolishness and enjoy,  the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

 The Lord is honest and straightforward, righteousess not wealth is valuable to Him, be kind,  giving, honest,  God will judge the cruel and wicked.

 The contrast of the wise (heed God's revelation) and foolish  (follow sensuous desires) are detailed in many areas of how they live life.

  The wise are honest not deceitful,  the fool mocks,  the wise fear the Lord , the fool believes everything, the wise man tests and is cautious, the fool lives for today, the wise has refuge in death.

The lips of the wise spread knowledge, the fool spouts folly,  better is little with the fear of the the Lord, than riches without Him, He will destroy the house of the proud.

his throne will be established forever.  A man’s pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor.
