Isaiah - Warrior - BIBLE SUMMARY WITH ART

 Isaiah has a vision where he sees the nation's sinfulness which causes destruction and desolation, God has had enough His city has become a harlot and must repent or perish.

 God will establish his city Jerusalem  to perfectly rule all nations one day, in the mean time God's people have turned to idols and a day of reckoning is coming.

 God is going to remove leaders from Jerusalem and turn the city upside down, woe to them the daughters of Jerusalem will be degraded.

The Lord will protect a remnant  from those who remain in Zion on that day to be called holy,  protected by God Himself with fire and cloud.

A parable of a vineyard the Lord planted and cultivated but only produced worthless grapes is Israel, He will now remove the hedge and allow distant nations to pillage them.

 Isaiah sees an awesome vision of God, Isaiah volunteers to speak for God to people who won't listen until Jerusalem is destroyed and a holy stump remains.

 The birth and eternal reign of the Prince of Peace from the throne of David is prophesized, in the mean time God's wrath burns against the wickedness of His people.

Assyria is God's instrument to punish His people,  He then promises a return of a remnant with instructions to not fear the enemies, their demise is also inevitable.

 A shoot will spring up from the branch of Jesse, He will fear God and  judge righteously,  the lion will lay with the lamb and child and His remnant will be restored and get rest, 

On that day you will give thanks, for God's anger has been turned away, He has become our salvation draw water from the springs of salvation and  exalt Him from Zion. 

 Isaiah then tells of the coming day of the wrath of God by Babylonian conquer and exile and then how they also will be judged by the Medes.

 Israel will return from  Babylonian exile and they and all the Babylonian conquests from Sheol will poetically taunt Babylon's fall, God will also judge Assyria and Philistia

 Judgment is pronounced on Moab,  the cry of distress has gone around the territory of Moab with the people bald in sackcloth and weeping.  

 Moab will be devastated the people of Israel are instructed to let the outcasts stay with them as they are conquered within three years.

 The fall and ruin of Damascus is prophesized,  like a whirling dust before a gale,  for you have forgotten the God of your salvation.  

The Lord will judge the people beyond the rivers of Cush by a powerful and opressive nation,  they will eventually pay tribute to the Lord of armies from Mount Zion.

The judgment of Egypt is pronounced,  the idols of Egypt will tremble in the presence of the Lord, future reconciliation is also prophesized  through a future champion Savior.

  Just as Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years as a sign, Assyria will lead away the Egyptian and Cush captives stripped and barefoot  (Judah was to fear God not powerful allies).  

 After God has judged Israel using then world power Babylon, they also will fall and be judged, the falls of Edom (Dumah) and Arabia are also foretold.

The city of Jerusalem has built walls, stored water and stockpiled chariots but forgotten the  God who protects them, therefore God weeps over His city and wants the world to know it is God who is causing the pending calamity ofJerusalem.

The fall of port cities of Tyre and Sidon is prophesized for the Lord has stretched His hand over the sea, wail for your ships your fortresses are destroyed.

The Lord is going to lay waste to a cursed earth, all joy turns to gloom the sun will be ashamed until the Lord reigns with His elders from Mount Zion.

A song of praise to trust in the Lord in the land of Judah forever, my soul yearns for you day and night, we (Israel) have failed but you will judge the earth eternally and  righteously.

In that day the Lord will slay the serpent, Israel will blossom and fill the world with fruit like a garden without thorns, a great trumpet will sound and the exiles will come and worship.

The Lord has a mighty agent that will take the drunkards of Ephriam into captivity for Him , the remnant will cling to the Lord for He is cultivating Israel like a farmer cultivates his crops.

 Thus the multitude of all the nations will be
who wage war against Mount Zion sent by the Lord for punishment in a sealed book until those who err come to the truth.

Judah is warned against an Egyptian alliance, they are to find security only with God and His plan, therefore His fierce anger will cause calamity and captivity.

Woe to those who look for safety by allying with Egypt, they are men not God, therefore God will wage war on Zion by furnace and fire.

The glorious future of Israel is foreseen under a prince who will rule righteously shelter the storm, heal the land  and the people will live in peace.

  Woe to the destroyers, they will be judged, God is exacting and just in all manners, the Lord is our king; He will save the people who live there from iniquities.

The Lord's anger is against all nations who stand against Him, wild animals will inhabit where kings and nobles once dwelt until He sets up His eternal kingdom.

The future of Israel is foreseen with the glory of the Lord revealed, He will save, heal the blind, deaf, and lame with no more sorrow and His people will return to Zion.

Sennacherib the king of Assyria siezed all the fortified cities of Judah and threatens king Hezekiah saying God sent him therefore  ally with him or be destoyed.

Hezekiah seeks Isaiah's help and is assured that Assyria won't harm them but God will exile Judah (Babylon) with protected remnant , Assyrian army is destoyed by God's angel, Sennacherib is killed by his sons.

Hezekiah is mortally ill and prays, Isaiah tells him that God added 15 years to his life, he writes a poem of thanksgiving "  It is the living who give thanks to You, as I do today."

When envoys from Babylon visit Hezekiah he proudly shows them his gold and wealth, Isaiah prophesized that this will all be carried to Babylon, though the Lord will protect His remnant.

 This next section foretells when the mountains will rejoice and the great Lord God will come from Zion  with might like a shepherd, He will protect His people from all nations. 

 The Lord is sovereign over all nations, He stirs them up then turns them to dust, true sons of Jacob need not fear the Lord is with you holding you by the hand.

 Almighty God is in control of all national politics and all natural phenomenom, He turns the desert ito a pool of water and weaves together the past, present and future, false gods are less than nothing and are to be mocked.

Israel has only one source of salvation God Almighty,  He will be with you through firey trials, He is holy, fear not and trust Him only He can blot out sins. 

 Israel is God's beloved chosen nation from the beggining of time, idols are really nothing, foolishness made by men, Jerusalem will be rebuilt and inhabited.

  The Lord says to His annointed, I will go before you open doors and level mountains, woe to those who quarrel with their Maker , turn to Me Israel and be saved, boast in Him.

Remember this and take it to heart you rebels, I am God, I bow down to none there are no equals, all these idols will be carried into captivity, I grant salvation to Zion.

The fall of Babylon is prophesized, suddenly all the security that you Babylon have wrapped up in wickedness and astrology will vanish and you (Babylon) will be left burnt naked and afraid.

Israel is a stubborn people who invoke God's name but trust idols so God declared Israel's fate long ago for all to see and hear so they will see who God is for God's own glory.

Through the perspective of the redeemer formed from the womb to be God's servant, He will lead His people and all the kings and nations of the world to salvation.

 In this prophetic portion God's beloved servant is disgraced by His own people spat upon, beard pulled as He trusts God for vindication.

 Israel is exhorted to listen to and fear God whose salvation and righteousness is eternal and not to fear their oppressers, the Lord is Israel's ultimate comfort.

  Rejoice and put on your best clothes Zion, God's servant will redeem you, salvation for all comes through you, His appearance will be marred yet kings will be speechless before  Him,

  The suffering servant is to be pierced for our trangressions like a lamb led to the slaughter. He would render Himself as a guilt offering and justify the many.

 Shout for joy Zion, you have a bright future your husband is your Maker all nations will come to you to worship, in righteousness you will be established.

 All who thirst should come to the water of life (mercy)and drink without charge, God's ways are higher than ours, let the wicked return to the Lord.

 Preserve justice and righteousness, foreigners who join to the name of the Lord will eat and be satisfied from the holy mountain.

  When the righteous perish no one notices but they enter peace, to them you have made drink and grain offerings, to the wicked your good deeds and idols will not save you like a rolling sea.

The people fast and it appears that God doesn't notice,  but God looks at the heart and motivation, feed the hungry, satify the afflicted.

God's people are separated from God because of their sins, we grope aimlessly, then His own arm brought salvation , He will come from Zion wearing  a breatplate of righteousness.

There will be a time when all will come to a glorified Zion, all nations will be destroyed and come to your light, all will be righteous and they will possess the land forever.

The afflicted, the brokenhearted, and the captives will be exalted with offspring into the future the Lord loves justice, He clothes us in righteousness.

Zion will become new , the city will be saved and vindicated and be called Beulah as a bride adorned for her groom, never again deserted.

 The warrior king to come wil return from the east in blood covered cloths to  judge all nations, in love He will redeem His nation like He has done before out of Egypt.

 A prayer that pleads for mercy to God Almighty whom the mountains tremble before Him, from a sinful fallen broken people, remember our sins no more.

  I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people Israel, therefore the Lord God will judge His nation, but My servants will be called by another name  until I create a new earth.

 Those who tremble at the word of the Lord hear this, God Almighty will deliver His beloved city Jerusalem, create a new earth paradise for all humble in all nations to worship and judge all unrighteous.

 A shulamite woman who is to be Solomon's wife is  the demonstration of the  beauty of marital love as God intended from Genesis 2.  

  Jeremiah is a prophet sent by God with a message of judgment to Israel who would not respond to his word as they proceeded into exile in Babylon,  the remnant is promised the protection of God and future forgiveness of sins.
