 Solomon reached out to Hiram king of Tyre and agreed to trade large quantities of cedar, stone, and skilled laborers for food and other provisions to begin building the Lord's temple.

 Solomon's palace took 13 years to complete, the palace and its elaborate furnishings are described including the holy furnishings that go in the temple.

 God's unnamed prophet splits altar miraculously as a sign before  King Jeroboam's powerless withered hand, then he disobeys God's command and follows an old lying prophet and is killed by lion sent by God and then honored in burial.

 The kings of Israel are chronicled and kill each other in different power struggles, they do greater evil in the sight of the Lord as time in the book progresses ending with Ahab.

 Elijah prophesies drought as God's judgment, is fed by ravens, he moves in with Gentile widow, her flour and oil are miraculously extended after he is fed, he raises her son from the dead.

 King Ahab is refused the desired purchase of Naboth's vineyard so Jezebel frames Naboth who is stoned and Ahab takes vineyard, Elijah passes judgment for this.

 King Ahab joins King Jehoshaphat against Aram, all prophets predict victory except Micaiah who speaks for God and sees Ahab's death (blood licked by dogs), Ahab's son succeeds.

  David becomes king yet fails and mirrors the sin of Eve with Bathsheba, God promises David his seed will sit on eternal throne as David's family fight among themselves.

2 Kings - Elisha - BIBLE SUMMARY WITH ART

 Injured king Ahaziah consults Baal and Elijah passes God's judgment along and then calls down fire from heaven to kill 2  groups of 50 men sent from king until 3rd group submits.

 Naaman an Aramean warrior had leprosy he seeks (through jewish servant girl) and reluctantly follow Elisha's advice and is healed, Elisha's servant Gehazi sneaks to Naaman for money for healing and is struck with leprosy.

 King Jehu has all of Ahab's sons beheaded, and kills Ahab's prophets, and priests, he tricks any Baal worshipper in land with promise of Baal worship and kills all to honor the Lord.

 Joash suceeded Jehoahaz as ruler of Israel, Elisha before death uses arrows to prophesize partial Israel victory over Aram, after burial body is resurrected by touching Elisha's bones.

 The kings of both Judah and Israel are chronicled including numerous assasination plots most did evil in the sight of the Lord.

 Ahaz king of Judah does evil he gives gold and silver from the temple to Assysian king as vassal payment and wrongly alters the temple altar.

Israel's demise is summarized,  they followed the worthless idols of the nations around them becoming worthless, the mixing of local gods with the Lord is explained in occupied Samaria.

18 - Hezekiah

 Hezekiah is a righteous king of Judah, but he pays off Sennacherib king of Assyria with temple gold (wrongly), Sennacherib then mocks and taunts God and siezes Jerusalem.

 Hezekiah prays recognizing the graveness of Sennacherib's boasts and God's power to deliver, that night an angel wipes out Sennacherib's army, he is later killed by his sons.

 Hezekiah had an illness to death, he prayed and is healed, a Babylonian envoy surveys the kings wealth and Isaiah prophesizes future Babylonian exile. 

21 - Manasseh

 Manasseh is the next king he leads the people astray and worships idols detested by God who promises judgment through prophets. 

22 - Book

1873- Unknown; Josiah hearing the book of the law. The story of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation

The next king Josiah follows God he finds the book of the Law in temple, repents and gets message that he will be spared the coming judgment.

Josiah gathers everyone and renews covenant vow he utterly destroys idol temples and follows the Law, he is succeeded by Jehoahaz and Jehoiakim.

 Nebuchadnezzar sieges Jerusalem and captured and exiled  king Jehoiachin and anyone of value, he appoints his uncle  Zedekiah as king

 Zedekiah rebels and is killed by the Babylonians, Jerusalem is burned and all valuables and temple treasures are plundered,  Gedaliah  is appointed king.
