 Blessed is the righteous man who remains in the law, God's word, he is contrasted to wicked scoffers who will be like chaff in judgment.

 God  mocks mankind who scheme against God's anointed son (Messiah), all nations will be under his dominion and must pay homage to Him or be judged.

David prays a  morning prayer of trust in God while in exile and God answers from Zion that he is his shield  mighty and capable of saving him.

 David prays an evening prayer of meditation in his heart and trust in the Lord ,as he lays down to sleep he knows God will hear him.

 David trusts God to judge the wicked and to lead him in His righteous ways , access to God's temple is through His graciousness.

 A prayer of mercy in times of trouble , David sheds tears in bed because of the persistance of his enemies and trusts the Lord to receive his prayer. 

David throws himself upon the mercy of God for vindication against his enemies, David trusts God as his shield and righteous judge.

 How majestic is the name of the Lord He set up the moon and placed the stars in the sky,  what is man that You are mindful of him .

 A Psalm of thanksgiving, God sits on His throne and judges righteously, on an eternal royal throne established in Zion. 

 A lament prayer looking forward to the overthrow of the wicked, they exploit orphans and widows author trusts God to vindicate them in eternal rule.

The Lord is our refuge and defense, with the wicked closing in  David has confidence God  is in charge ruling from His holy temple and in heaven.

This lament psalm sees the wicked prosper but recognizes God has promised  to protect the righteous through His pure word (like silver).

In this lament psalm David asks how long until God delivers on His promise to judge his enemies the wicked and until salvation. 

The fool denies God, all fall short of God's good standard, there are none who do good, not one, salvation will come out of Zion.

The question is asked of God who is to reside on His holy hill (Zion) the one who is righteous, honest, God fearing, straight forward and self sacrificing.

God is our only refuge, those who pursuit other gods will be judged and forgotten, God protects our soul, in His presence is fullness of joy.

David prays for protection against his oppressors, God tests the heart, his enemies have surrounded him like a lion, he  recognizes that his salvation is in the hand of the Lord.

 The Lord is my rock and salvation, I am surrounded by death, in my distress I cried out to the Lord and He appeared in fire and terrifiying form to destroy His enemies, His anointed from David will rule forever. 

 The heavens declare God's glory constantly, the Law of the the Lord is perfect, the fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever, they are more desirable than gold, may my words and heart be acceptable to God. 

 May God grant the desires of your heart, the victory is His we will set our banners in His name, the Lord will save His anointed.

The king rejoices in Your strength and is blessed by You, The Lord will swallow up His enemies like a blazing fire, we will sing and praise Your might. 

  God appears to have forsaken 

His very own, the world pierced, scorned, and mocked the afflicted one, they will proclaim His righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn He has done it. 

The Lord is our shepherd who provides and protects us all He prepares food and an eternal dwelling place and will deliver us from enemies. 

 Everything on earth from the seas to the mountains is the Lord's , only perfect righteousness can stand in God's holy mountain, therefore lift up your heads and praise God.

 My God in You I trust, lead and teach me your ways and paths, remember me according to your faithfulness, forgive my sins, those who fear the Lord will inherit the land.

 Vindicate me Lord, I love Your house where Your glory remains, I will wash in your altar, I will walk in my integrity; Redeem me, and be gracious to me.

 The Lord is my protector whom else shall I fear, I am safe from evildoers armies and war and can hide in His temple, God is my salvation. 

 Lord hear me when I cry for help, don't judge me like the wicked, repay them according to their works because they don't regard God's works or salvation.

The voice of the Lord is powerful and majestic it is heard in storms and fire, it makes the deer give birth and strips the forest, in His temple everything says "Glory!".  

I will exalt you Lord, you healed me when I cried out, His anger is for a moment His favor a lifetime, I plead for the Lord's compassion, so that I might praise You.

  Lord be my stronghold, You will guide me for Your names sake, I will trust my spirit to You, the Lord preserves those who are true to Him.  

How blessed are those whose sins are covered, you are my hiding place, You keep me from trouble, don't be like the mule where only a bit guides them, God's goodness will surround those who trust Him. 

 Sing a new song for joy with many intruments all you righteous ones, He spoke the world into existence and measured the sea, let the world stand in awe of Him, God will save those who fear Him not mighty armies.  

 I will constantly exalt the Lord, God reveals himself to all the wretched humble who cry out to Him, Fear the Lord all you His saints, turn from evil and do good.

 Rise up and fight all those who pursuit God's anointed, may His enemies be like chaft, they do not seek peace, stand behind the Lord's righteous representatives.

 The wicked are deceitful and do not reject evil, Your mercy is vast, Your judgments are great, may the foot of pride not come upon me, don't let me fall where the wicked have fallen.  

 David writes a poem rejoicing in the security of those who trust in the Lord and the insecurty and ultimate doom of the wicked (those who do not trust the Lord).

David recognizes his current sickness and suffering are a result of God's indignation and prays a repentent prayer asking or forgiveness of sins.  

 In this psalm David recognizes all mankind is a mere breath in the presense of God, all hope is ultimately in only God not the fleeting power, riches and influence of this world. 

 Lord You know the intentions of my heart, Your Law is within my heart, my sins are more numerous than the hairs of my head, rescue me, may the Lord be exalted. 

 The Lord will exalt those who look after the helpless, deliver me from my enemies,  Blessed be the Lord of Israel from everlasting to everlasting.

As the deer pants for water my soul pants for God, my enemies mock and say where is God, the Lord will send song and goodness day and night.  

 Vindicate me and save me from the unrighteous, Your light and truth shall guide me to Your holy hill, my soul is in despair waiting for God. 

 We have heard how you delivered us from the nations, gave us the land by Your right hand, our victory (Israel) is the Lord, when we are a reproach it is because of God, You will never forget us, have mercy on us.

 This song was wriiten for the king celebrating his marriage,  it celebrates his military prowess his righteous status before God and his eternal kingdom.  

 God is our refuge though the mountains shake and the earth crumbles we will not fear this but trust Him to exalt Israel above all nations.

Clap your hands and shout for the Lord all you the pride of Jacob, sing praises to the God of Abraham who reigns over all nations.  

 Great and mighty is the Lord, He rules from Mount Zion, He terrifies all the kings of the earth, our God rules forever and ever.  

 Those whose trust and security is in their power and riches can not redeem a single soul, the wise and foolish persish and are in God's hand. 

 The judgment of the righteous and the wicked has been determined, He has determined the sacrifices are a holy and righteous way to honor God, all the animals of the world are His.

 Oh God, wipe out all my wrongdoings, when I sin I sin against You, You are a righteous judge, all I know is sin create in me a clean heart, and delight in righteous sacrifices.

 The deceitful boast in evil and trust in his own riches, God will break them down forever, the righteous will see and fear God, as for me I will trust God.  

The fool says in his heart there is no God, no one does good, all have turned aside, Oh the salvation of Israel will come from Zion and they will rejoice.

 Save me Oh God for Your name, my violent enemies have risen against me, I will sacrifice to You for He has saved me from all troubles.

 Listen to me Oh Lord, because of my smooth talking enemy I am troubled, if I had wings I would fly away, evening and morning I will complain and He will hear me, I will trust You.  

I have been trampled down by my enemies, I will trust You when I am afraid, they distort my words, Your vows God are binding upon me.   

Be gracious to me God, I take refuge in You, God accomplishes all things for me, they dug a pit before me, yes I will sing praises, awaken harp and lyre, to God be the glory.

 The wicked go astray from birth, they have venom like a serpent, Lord shatter their teeth in their mouth, the righteous will rejoice when they see there is a God who judges the earth.  

 Rescue me from my enemies, they have set an ambush, The Lord scoffs at them,  He will awake and punish all the nations caught in their pride. 

 Lord You have broken us, You have made your people suffer hardship, have You Yourself not rejected us? the battle is the Lord's and He will trample Israel's enemies.  

 Hear my cry God, You are my refuge, a tower of strength against my enemies, He (Messiah) will sit enthroned before God forever. 

God alone is my rock and my salvation, pour out your heart before Him, He will be there for you judging righteously the lowly and mightly alike. 

Oh God My flesh yearns for you, Your favor is better than life, my soul clings to you, I mediate on you in bed, You will judge my enemies. 

Hide me from evildoers, they do not fear You, they set snares but God will shoot an arrow and they will fear, the upright will boast in the Lord.

There will be silence before God in Zion, You forgive our offenses, stand in awe of the God of our salvation who establishes the mountains and speaks softly with showers.

Shout joyfully to God all of the earth and worship Him, see God's works He turns the sea to dry land, I shall come into Your house with burnt offerings.  

God shine your face upon us, and Your salvation among all nations, may all nations sing for joy to God, He will judge fairly so that all the ends of the earth may fear Him.  

May the wicked perish before God, but the rigtheous will sing and rejoice with God, God makes a home for the lonely, the earth quakes beneath God as He leads His people.

Save me God from evil, you know my guilt and foolishness, conquer my enemies (David's) for Your names sake, may heaven and earth be consumed with zeal for your house in Zion.

Hurry to save me God! You are my help and my savior, may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You, I am needy, May God be exalted!  

Be to me a rock of dwelling to which I may continually come; You have given the Law to save me, Your righteousness is immense, I will prasie Your name. 

Solomon prays for the king's righteous judgment, God rules from sea to sea, let all kings bow down to the God of Israel, He delivers the needy, may the whiole earth be filled with His glory.  

I came close to stumbling by questioning the prosperity of the wicked, their eye bulges from fatness, until I perceived their end swept away by sudden terrors.  

God why have you rejected us to Your enemies, they have burned Your sanctuary, for how long? You divided the sea and made summer and winter, remember us. 

We give thanks to God, He exalts one and puts down another, God is the judge, he pours out His cup of judgment, He will cut off the horns of the wicked and lift the righteous. 

God makes Himself known in Zion, how majestic are You, fear God make vows to the Lord and fulfill them, He is feared by the kings of the earth. 

Even in trouble I will remember the Lord, can His promise end? by Your power You redeemed Israel, Your lightnings lit up the world led by the hand of Moses.

Listen to God speak through the scriptures, Oh Israel for children yet to be born, this Psalm summarizes the history of Israel with details and how God shepherded them all along the way. 

This lament psalm details atrocities that occurred with the destruction of Jerusalem, as they cry out for justice against the wicked nations responsible, so Israel will thank God forever.  

Give ear Oh Israel, how long will God remain angry at His people, revive us and we will call upon Your name, restore us shine Your face on us for salvation. 

Praise God with all varieties of musical instruments, remove all foreign gods from among you, but Israel did not obey Me (God), so I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart.  

God judges in the midst of rulers, in order to rescue the weak and fatherless, protect them from the wicked who are confused in darkness, Arise O God and judge the earth. 

Speak God as Your enemies plan against Israel, many nations conspire to steal the pastures of God, Oh God make them like the whirling dust that they may know that You alone are the most high over all the earth.  

Like the birds who have homes, how lovely Oh God is Your dwelling place in Zion, blessed is the man whose heart looks to Zion, and looks upon the face of Your anointed.

You Lord have forgiven the sins of Israel and shown favor to the land, Restore us, surely His salvation is near those who fear Him.

Hear me Lord I am poor, have mercy on me, I call you all day long, give me an undivided heart, for great is your love, You have delivered me from the depths. 

He has founded the city of God on the holy mountain of Zion, Rahab acknowledged me, of Zion it will be said that the Most High Himself will establish her. 

 Lord God of my salvation, incline your ear to me, save me from the pit, can Your mercy be known from the grave, Your terrors have destroyed me.

 I will sing of the Lovingkindness (Chesed) of the Lord forever, The Lord and His Law are eternal the creation is His witness to His covenant.

 Lord you gave birth to the earth, soon men fly away and return to dust, by You wrath we have been dismayed, make us glad with Your affliction and confirm the work of our hands.  

 The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, I rest under His wings, His angels guard you that you do not strike your foot against a stone, you will trample the serpent down and be delivered unto salvation. 

It is good to praise God from morning till night, how great are Your works, You deliver my enemies, the righteous will flourish like the palm trees. 

 The Lord reigns He is clothed with majesty, more majesty than the floods and the pounding waves of the mighty sea the Lord on high is mighty and holy forevermore. 

 Lord judge rightfully, how long shall the wicked exult, they slay the widow and murder the orphans, God is my rock and salvation, He will destroy the wicked.

Sing praise to the Lord most High , He created the mountains and the sea, let us worship and bow down and not harden our hearts like those in the past.

 Sing to the Lord a new song, He is to be feared above all, Glory be to name of God, for He is coming to judge the earth in righteousness.

The Lord reigns, clouds and fire go before Him, mountains melt in His presence, hate evil, you who love the Lord.

 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth, let all kinds of instruments and the sea and mountains together for joy to God, for He judges rightly.  

 Let the people tremble under God's reign, Holy is He, He spoke in a pillar of cloud and kept His word, worship at His holy hill, Holy is He. 

 Shout and serve the Lord with gladness, he made us we are the sheep of His pasture, enter His gates with thanksgiving, His Chesed is everlasting.

 I will walk in the integrity of my heart and set no worthless thing before my eyes, He who walks blameless will minister to me, liars will lose there position before me.  

Hear my cry for help, when I foget to eat, like a pelican in the dessert, this psalm is for doomed people yet to come, You will arise and have compassion on Zion. 

  Bless the Lord Oh my soul, so my youth will be renewed like an eagle, The Lord judges righteously and isn't angery forever, He doesn't deal will us according to our sins but through His covenant, like a father to his son.

 The Lord is most High, He makes the clouds His chariots, You set the earth perfectly in motion, He set the perfect boundaries for the mountains and sea, He watches over the wild goats and the grass and the leviathan, Praise the Lord.

Give thanks and sing praises to God, seek Him constantly and remember what He has done always, He worked through Joseph and Moses, His covenant is perfect and eternal.

We (Israel) are sinful people we forget what you have done constantly we have rebelled against you from the Red sea and worshiped over and over again, save us forgive us God and remember your covenant for Your name's sake.

Give thanks to the Lord and His eternal lovingkindness (chesed) all the redeemed, He guides them in every way, when rebels return and cry out to Him, when ships face raging seas and still rivers water the fields the Lord is there. 

I will sing Praises to God, His right hand will save me, God has spoken in His holiness through the sons of Jacob, Judah is My sceptor,  save us it is He who will tread our adversaries. 

The wicked deceive and accuse God's people may they be cursed and cut off, deal kindly with me for Your name's sake I am need, I will give abundant thanks to You Oh Lord.

Prophetic word of the Lord (Jesus) sitting at right hand of the Father, the eternal priest, according to the order of Mechizedek, until He returns to shatter kings and judge all nations in day of judgment.

Praise the Lord, great are his works truth and justice, His righteousness endures forever, He has sent redemption to His people Holy and awesome is His name. 

The one fears the Lord will be blessed, wealth and righteousness are His, He is gracious and compassionate, the wicked will see it and be vexed.

Praise the name of the Lord, from the rising to the setting of the sun, who is like Him, He raises the poor and gives joy to the barren woman, praise the Lord!  

 When Israel left Egypt Israel became His dominion, the sea and the mountains flee before the God of Jacob, who turned rock into water, tremble O earth.

 In this psalm heathen idols are contrasted with the Lord, they deserve to be mocked, they have mouths but cannot speak, the Lord is the maker of heaven and earth forevermore.

The Lord hears my voice even unto death, Gracious is the Lord and righteous, He preserves the simple, He saved me, I am you servant, you have loosed my bonds O Jerusalem. 

Praise the Lord, all nations;

laud Him, all peoples! For His lovingkindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord is everlasting.

Praise the Lord! 

Give thanks to the Lord let all who fear Him say "His lovingkindness (Chesed) is everlasting", what can man do to me?, The rejected stone has become the chief cornerstone, give thanks to the Lord. 

 This longest psalm goes through every letter of the Hebrew alphabet with corresponding meditations and prayers (starting with that letter) relating to the beautiful Law of God, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path".

 In trouble I cried unto the Lord, He delivered my soul from a deceitful tongue, woe is me, I am for peace, but when I speak they are for war.  

 I will lift my eyes to the mountains, my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep, He will guard you, He is your keeper.

 Let us go to the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, pray for it's peace, may peace be within your walls for the sake of the house of the Lord, I will seek your good.

 To You I will lift up my eyes enthroned in the heavens, like a servant looks to their master, be gracious to us O Lord for we are filled with contempt. 

 Let Israel say without the Lord they would have swallowed us alive engulfed in water, Blessed be the Lord, our soul has escaped like a free bird from a trapper.

 Those who trust in the Lord abide forever, from this time forth forever, so the righteous will not do wrong and turn aside with the doers of inquity, peace be upon Israel.  

 When the Lord brought back the captive ones to Zion they were joyful like the steams in the South flow back, the Lord has done great things for us, those sown in tears shall reap with joyfull shouting.  

 Unless the Lord builds the house, the labor is in vain, all is vain without the Lord, children are a gift of God like a warriors full quiver of arrows.  

  Blessed are all who fear God and walk in His ways, you shall eat the fruit of your hands, your wife shall be fruitful with children like olive plants, may the Lord bless you from Zion.

I have been persecuted from my youth up, yet my enemies have not prevailed, may all who hate Zion be turned backward, like withering grass. 

  Lord hear me out of the depths, if you counted inquities who could stand? but there is forgivenenss with You, my soul waits for the Lord and the redemption from Israel.  

 O Lord my heart is not proud, I do not do great matters, I have quieted my soul like a weaned child, O Israel hope in the Lord from now forevermore.  

 Remember O Lord on David's behalf, I will not sleep until I find a dwelling place for the Lord, send us Your anointed to Zion for the sake of David, so the godly will sing aloud for joy. 

 It is good for God's people to dwell in unity, its like the anointing oil of the preist, like the dew of the mountains of Zion.

 Blessed is the servant of the Lord who watches His house by night, Bless the Lord from Zion the Lord who made heaven and earth.  

 The Lord is great He is above all gods, He does what He pleases in all creation, He sent wonders into the midst of Egypt gave His people the land and dwells in Jerusalem.

In this psalm the phrase, "For His lovingkindness (Chesed) is eternal" is repeated 26 times with reminders of God's intervening for Israel and power as creator interluded.

 This psalm reflects in sorrow on the present captivity in Babylon looking forward to a day of future judgment of captors.

I will give thanks for you Lord bowing to Your holy temple for your word, all the kings of the earth will give thanks to you, You will save me by the works of your hands.

Lord You search and know all my ways and understand my thoughts and heart, You are everywhere how precious are Your thoughts found only in Your book.  

 Lord I am begging You to protect me from the schemes of wicked men, may the evil they pursuit return to them for the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted. 

May my prayer be counted as incense before you, Lord Guard my mouth, Do not incline my heart toward evil, may the righteous mercifully discipline me, may the wicked be snared in their own nets.

I cry out and declare my toubles to You Lord, I can trust noone else, for I have been brought very low, rise me up so that I may give thanks to Your name.  

Hear me O Lord because of Your righteousness, don't let me face your judgment, no one is righteous before You, My enemy has crushed my soul, I trust in You, destroy those who afflict my soul. 

The Lord prepares me for my enemies, man is like a mere breath passing like a shadow, deliver us from the hands of aliens, I will sing You a new song, how blessed are the people whose God is Lord!  

Every day I will bless you forever and ever, God's greatness is unsearchable, He is gracious and mericiful righteous in al His ways, all flesh will bless His Holy name forever and ever.

 Praise the Lord, I don't trust princes who can't deliver salvation, my hope is in the Lord who made the heaven and earth, He opens the eyes of the blind, He loves the righteous and protects the strangers. 

It is good to sing praises to God, He has name all the stars, His understanding is infinite, He makes the grass grow and feeds the young ravens, He favors those who fear Him and declares His word to us.

 Praise the Lord all the heavenly beings, let the whole earth praise the Lord, for He commanded and everything was created, His name alone is to be exalted from all creeping things to fowl above us.   

Praise the Lord with all instruments in every way, with your mouth and two edged sword, He will bind their kings and execute vengeance on all nations.

 Let everything with breath praise the Lord with very kind of instrument trumpets, harp, lyre, timbrel, cymbals, pipes, every stringed instrument and dancing. 

Righteous Job faces hardships and 3 friends conclude Job is somehow wrong in an attempt to speak for God in error, then Elihu and God himself appear to Job  to explain God's ways are beyond explanations of man and must be trusted. ontent Coming  

A naive young man is taught to seek the wisdom of God personified in the woman wisdom contrasted with following his lusts and desires which the adulterous woman appeal to.
