 Jesus appears to John in a vision to explain to him things that are, and things that are to come for the seven churches in Asia minor and beyond, because the time of His coming is near. 

 The angel tells the church of Ephesus not to leave her first love,  Smyrna to endure through suffering, Pergamum to repent from worshiping false gods,  and Thyatira a warning against a Jezebel. 

 The angel tells Sardis wake up your garments are dirty,  Philadelphia  watch out for Jewish liars, and to the rich Laodicians you are luke warm and repulsive, you are spiritually poor. 

The scene from heaven describes a magnificent throne that looks like animals and crystals and fires all at once representing the glory of God, Holy Holy Holy.

 All in heaven weep because no one is worthy to open the 7 seals of judgment until the angels declares   "Worthy is the lamb", all creatures agree.

 The lamb  opens the first six seals of judgment, the first is a conqueror on white horse,  then a red horse- war , a black horse- famine, a pale horse- death, the fifth seal pictures martyrs and the sixth terror.

There is an interlude where four angels are at the four corners of the earth, 144,00 from Israel are sealed and every tribe robed in white (Christ's righteousness) praises the lamb of God.

 When the seventh seal is broken there is brief silence and  7 trumpet angels announce  1 - sky hail, fire & blood 2 -a fiery mountain thrown into the sea, 3 -a fiery crashing star,  and 4- darkened sun & moon.

The fifth trumpet angels opens an abyss that releases surreal tormenting locusts, the sixth angel releases the four angels at earth's four corners, they destroy 1/3 of mankind.

Another glorious angel delivers a scroll with seven thunders for John to eat (bitter then sweet), the angel has one foot on the land and one on sea.

 Two witnesses are appointed by God with special powers but they will be killed by the beast from the abyss viewed by many, then they will be resurrected after three days .

In this entire Bible summary chapter a woman (Israel) gives birth to a ruler who is swept into heaven before the dragon eats him, war breaks out in heaven , the dragon is hurled to earth and pursues all the woman's offspring (all who follow Jesus).

 The dragon gives two surreal blasphemous beasts authority over all the earth, all people (except lamb's book people)  must worship these (marked 666) or be killed. 

The lamb secures the blameless 144,000, then 3 flying angels announce God's judgment to all marked, then on a cloud He appears with angels carrying sickles to reap bloody judgment like winepress.

 7 angels from God proceed from temple with 7 plagues singing to Moses and the lamb ,then one of the 4 beasts gave these angels the 7 golden  bowls of  God's wrath. 

The seven bowls of wrath of God are poured out,  they are sores, bloody waters,  fiery sun,  darkness, dried river, and great lightning and earthquakes.

John sees the harlot of Babylon riding a 7 headed beast drunk with the blood of believers (nations of all history who persecute believers), an angel explains the vision and future victory of lamb.

 Another angel comes from heaven to announce God's judgment on Babylon cast into the sea, and all whose hope was in the wealth of this world system lamented.

 The 24 elders and 4 beasts give a fourfold Hallelujah to the lamb & marriage supper, then John sees the skies open and Christ riding a white horse conquering the beast.

 Satan is bound for the 1000 year earthly kingdom of Jesus then released and judged at the end with rebellion, all are then  judged at great white throne and cast into lake of fire, except those written in the lamb's book of life (by belief in Jesus).

John sees a vision of the new Jerusalem that descends from the sky like a bride adorned with unmatched beauty of all different varieties.

The tree of life and garden paradise are gloriously restored under the lighted  throne of the lamb of God without curse, all  there are in washed robes (Christ's righteousness).
