 Jesus is introduced by John (author) as God in the flesh the creator from the beginning ,  John the baptist is introduced as the prophet to proceed the Lamb of God , Jesus begins to select His disciples.

  Jesus attends a wedding at Cana and turns water into wine, He drives the money changers out of the temple at Passover and people begin to believe in Him observing His signs from scripture (Old Testament).

The Pharisees try to trick Jesus but he rightly lawfully judges adulterous woman,  then teaches all must believe Him as "I am" or die in their sins, being Abraham's offspring isn't sufficient.

 Jesus claims to be the good shepherd who lays His life down for His sheep, He calls His sheep by their name,  Jesus again clearly declares himself to be God, the Pharisee attempt to stone him in response.

 Jesus raises Lazarus from sleep ( Daniel 12:2 death) as a sign He will raise all to either eternal life or death,  the priests and Pharisees plot to kill Jesus.

 Jesus  tells the disciples their grief will turn to joy soon as He returns to the Father,  an advocate (Holy Spirit) will come for them and they will be scattered.

 Jesus prays to the Father to be glorified, Jesus prays for His disciples Jesus prays for believers who will believe because of the apostle's message.

Jesus is arrested  by Judas' betrayal, Peter denies that he knows Jesus , Jesus is tried before the high priest Caiaphas and Roman leader Pilate who  declares Jesus king and innocent.

 Pilate has Jesus scourged and  then crowned with thorns, Jesus is crucified in fulfillment of  numerous prophesises in scripture, His body is buried in nearby tomb.

 Mary  investigates empty tomb and speaks to  the risen Jesus  who also appears to disciples with wounds, the author John explains purpose of this book is so reader can believe in Jesus and live eternally.

Jesus appears again miraculously, provides fish  at the sea of Galilee for disciples, He tells Peter to tend his sheep out of love, the author identifies himself as Jesus' beloved.

  The ministry of Jesus is continued through 12 Jewish apostles, these eyewitnesses of the resurrection preach that Jesus is the Messiah from the Law, the nation Israel rejects this message and a new entity the church emerges and is defined solely by belief in Jesus.
